Building Capacity at Work, at Life: A Reminder from Surah Al-Asr

When we talk about my favourite Surah, I always mention Al-Asr as the shortest and the longest Surah. And I'm always excited to share this Surah.

In Surah Al-Asr, Allah reminds us:

“By time, indeed mankind is in loss, except those who believe, do good deeds, encourage truth, and encourage patience.” (103:1–3)

This short surah teaches us how to avoid wasting our potential. In the workplace, it reminds us that success is not just about skills, but about purpose, action, integrity, and resilience.

Faith → Work with sincerity and align with your values.

Good deeds → Turn your knowledge into meaningful contributions.

Truth → Uphold honesty and build trust with colleagues.

Patience → Stay consistent and resilient through challenges.

Time is one of our most valuable resources. Let’s not let it slip away. By applying the wisdom of Surah Al-Asr, we can build our capacity at work while also securing success in this life and the hereafter.

✨ Use your time wisely, act with purpose, and keep growing. lifelong journey, what can be longer?
